Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are the workshops more focused on 'athletics' & 'fitness' than football?

A: Not at all. The workshop has a holistic curriculum which covers all the elements of player development including physical, technical & tactical. There will be parts of the day where we will be focusing on the athletic skills such as deceleration & change of direction without the ball being involved. There will also be parts of the day where we focus more on the technical skills of control, pass & move with the ball being heavily involved. The aim of the workshops is to introduce young players to this complete training model which is delivered within leading football academies such as Arsenal FC, SL Benfica & FC Barcelona.

Q: Will we be playing any matches during the workshops?

A: Small-sided games (ie 3vs3) can form part of a workshops curriculum depending on the number & playing levels of the young players. Small-sided games are a key tool for improving both technical & tactical skills and are far more beneficial than simply letting the young players 'free' to play open matches.

Q: What kit is most suitable to wear?

A: Normal training kit is perfect. Obviously, suitable clothing for the weather conditions such as cold and/or wet weather is advisable. Footwear appropriate to the surface we'll be using is advised to help reduce the risk of injury. For example, for grass pitches football boots are best & for the artificial pitches then 'astros' are best advised.

Q: Will we need to bring drinks & snacks?

A: 100%. We'll need to keep energy levels high & frequent breaks are factored into the curriculum.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: A full refund is available upto 72 hours before the day of the workshop. Shorter notice than 72 hours is not eligible for a refund due to the costs incurred. In the event of cancelling a workshop, a full refund will be issued.
